Aleksandra graduated from the Chemistry Department at the Adam Mickiewicz University and the Agriculture Academy in Poznań. PhD in food technology (biotechnology).
Between 2005-2007 she researched intellectual property protection in the pharmaceutical industry in Central Europe 2000-2010 at the Max-Planck-Institut für Geistiges Eigentum,Wettbewerbs- und Steuerrecht, München. Earlier USDA’s Cochran Fellowship -short-term US training – Michigan State University, United States Patent and Trademark Office Alexandria, Plant Variety Protection Office, USDA, Beltsville,US
She is an author and co-author of many publications on the field of biotechnology and intellectual property rights in biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors.
Co-author of the "Polish Industrial Property Law - Commentary" edited by P.Kostańskiego, PhD (C.H.Beck, 2010).
She is a member of the Polish Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys Chamber and the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office as well as the Polish Federation of Biotechnology and the Founder Member and President of the SAB (Society of Biotechnology Graduates).
Since 2007 she is a patent attorney at the Jan Wierzchoń & Partners, Patent Department, prior to which she managed her own patent office - BioPatent.
At Jan Wierzchoń & Partners Aleksandra deals with searches and handling patent applications before the Polish Patent Office and the European Patent Office.She specialises in biotechnology, chemistry and pharmaceutical patents. She also provides training on IP protection,especially in the field of biotechnology.
