Since 2007 Dorota is the Managing Partner in the JWP Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys, supervising all intellectual and industrial property litigation cases and domain names and customs proceedings cases.
She is also a Partner at the JWP Legal Advisers.
She graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Warsaw University, MA (Law) and has postgraduated in Copyright and Competition Law Studies at the Cracow Jagiellonian University.
In 1993 she obtained judge qualifications and in 1994 an attorneys at law certificate.
She is a chartered Patent and Trade Mark Attorney since 2002. She is also a registered penalist for arbitration of .pl & .eu domain names.
She is a member of the International League of Competition Law (LIDC), International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), Union of European Practitioners in Intellectual Property, International TradeMark Association (INTA), European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA), The Association of European Trade Mark Owners (Marques).

Dorota specialises in litigations with respect to intellectual property and combating unfair competition which are carried out before Courts, Public Prosecutor and Customs Authorities, as well as in inter partes cases before the Patent Office. Specialised in IP matters since he graduated from the Warsaw Technical University in 1972, and later from the the Cracow Jagiellonian University in IP Law. Active member of the Polish Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys Chamber. Initially, Jan Wierzchoń worked for the largest then state-owned IP agency in Poland, where for a number of years he represented international inventors applying for patents and gained an in-depth expertise, primarily in mechanical and electrical fields. He specialises in patent drafting, patent and design oppositions, appeals, prosecutions, contentious matters and disputes, counselling and developing expert’s reports, and finally in litigations in all areas of the IP law, including prevention of unfair competition.
